Your message comes from the ultimate gentleness of Kuan Yin. Whenever this message finds you, it's a hint to let yourself be cared for or to take the time to care for yourself. Soft, tender, quiet, nourishing energy is necessary to calm the inner fires that may have you feeling a little burned. Seek out environments and situations that make you feel calm. Push yourself a little if slowness is out of your comfort zone. Learning to soothe is a process when your nervous system is perpetually activated by the stimulation of the world.
Your Homework: Take a long, hot shower or bath. Eat a nourishing meal (which can be different from comfort food, btw). Listen to a soothing playlist. Pay attention to your inner dialogue and gently redirect when you begin to feel a harshness develop.

Similar to the fire signs, this card pulls no punches. Rest. Is. Best. If the very word lights a spark of anxiety, why do you think that is? Everyone deserves rest. Solutions flow after a night of good sleep. Emotions are quelled by a late afternoon nap. Bodies relax after a few minutes of stillness on the park bench. Start small, and see how it feels. Grow your rest practice from there. And yes, in this fast-paced world, rest is often an intentional act. Listen to and answer your body. Allow yourself to be in a receiving mode instead of a giving mode.
Your Homework: Take a power nap. Try a yoga nidra session (this is a great place to start). Journal a dream or talk it over with a friend. Cancel morning plans so you can enjoy a slow wake up time.
AIR: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Tlazolteotl makes another appearance this week, which means we need to pay extra close attention. Air signs are tied to mental energies, which is where we tend to relive our past and hold grudges. It's time to figure out what you need to let go of and then, do the work to release yourself or others. Blame, guilt, resentment and anger are heavy emotions you no longer need to carry. This is your permission to forgive yourself and others for good.
Your Homework: Schedule an appointment with a therapist to talk about a challenging situation where you know you need help with forgiving. Write all the things you love about yourself on a piece of paper and keep it under your pillow. Call someone you feel like you've harmed and tell them you're sorry for your actions and how they were affected.

Words are the most carelessly wielded magic in the human race. We often forget that they hold, carry and communicate immensely powerful messages that literally change the course of history. Ogma is prompting us to communicate thoughtfully and with care. Perhaps it's time to have that challenging conversation we've been putting off, to write the manuscript we've wanted to craft, to start the journal or to buy the poetry book.
Your Homework: Pick three positive adjectives that would describe you if you were the main character of a book. Write out three positive affirmations that apply to a current situation in your life. For example: I am a capable and loving parent. I am patient and kind in the face of frustration. I believe in myself. Pick up a book that makes you feel good and read a couple of paragraphs at random. What message does it have for you? Visit the library and check out three books that make you feel excited to read.
